Prysmian signs framework agreement to upgrade Italian national grid

A few days ago, the Prysmian Group has signed a framework contract with Italian transmission system operator Terna to supply, install and urgently repair 220 kV cables to upgrade Italy’s national grid.

The total value of the total contracted project is approximately 50 million euros, which will last for three years and can be further extended according to time and value.

As part of a long-term and continuous cooperation with Terna, the Prysmian Group is also building a high-voltage DC grid between France and Italy, as well as the recently announced new submarine cable connection between Capri and Sorrento.
